“My recent first visit required a second. The hospitality is genuine, the food is superb and the service first class. What a lovely place. I look forward to my next visit.” K. Cohen, 10/15/09

“I have dined at many places in the US and abroad. The Red Brick Grill is one of the best dining experiences I have had recently. The food was superb; the ingredients local and fresh, all selected and prepared with extraordinary expertise. The starter course I selected was a beet and goat cheese salad that was excellent featuring local ingredients and cheese from a Vermont dairy farm. The pasta was incredibly light with just the right amount of sauce. Vanilla panna cotta was the perfect ending. The service was first rate. We were warmly greeted by the owner and each encounter with the excellent staff was impressive as they were very knowledegable with refined service skills. They do everything right and have accomplished and first class culinary backgrounds which shine through in the food and service. What a find! I will forever remember this wonderful meal in Poultney, Vermont. My only regret is that I can not go back each week for this excellent cuisine as I live in Washington, DC.” Marie, 9/22/09

“After moving from the NYC area to the beautiful countryside of Washington County, the only thing I missed was a great dining experience. Red Brick Cucina fills that gap – the service is warm, friendly and attentive and the food always exceeds my expectations. It’s a great place!” Karin Witzig Rozell, 7/22/09

“The wild mushroom risotto that I had yesterday evening was simply superb, and was undoubtedly the best risotto I’ve ever had! I can hardly wait until I’m able to savor it again.” Richard Allen, 6/29/09

“Tucked away in a beautiful corner of Vermont, set in a delightfully restored old train station is a great dining destination. The Red Brick Cucina (formerly Red Brick Grill) takes one back years when dining was a real event worth the drive. Wendy Jackson and Frank Rhodes know food in depth, they have perfected the art of hospitality, and will insure you a memorable dining experience. I enjoy the 45 min. drive from Cambridge NY to Poultney VT and savour every minute in their company. I have been dining at the Red Brick for several years now and take great delight in sharing my enthusiasm with others. Give it a try. You will be richly rewarded.” Ken Strickler, 6/21/09

“We stumbled across this jewel after a day of apple picking. I saw the chef outside and commented to my family he looked familiar. Inside I again felt there was something familiar about the hostess. When we read the web site we realized we had eaten at both Luna and Organic in CT where we are from!!! BRAVO!!!! We will most definitely be back.” – Mary Jo Felis Davies, 10/4/08

“One of the best dining experiences I have had in years, and I eat in cities up and down the eastern seaboard year round. The warmth of the service staff (we were cared for by at least 4 servers), the creativity of the menu, the local flavor, the perfect preparation – all all these things worked together. The Rabbit tartlett appetizer was one of the best things I have EVER eaten. The crisp fall air, the train depot, and a walk around Poultney after dark to work off the Cream Puffs in Dark Chocolate Sauce with home-made vanilla ice cream. 5 out of 5 stars. We’ll be back.” – Dwight Fowler, 10/3/08

“WOW! I dropped in on a whim and discovered a gem. I was warmly greeted and ushered into a classy yet relaxed room. Every aspect of my dinner – appetizer, entrĂ©e, dessert, even specialty drink – was a unique and memorable combination of fresh flavors. I was only visiting this part of the state, but I will gladly drive the distance to return for a meal – and soon!” – Steve Stettler, 6/13/08

“We had the pleasure of dining there last night 5/31/08 and beside from being walking distance from our home we found it to rate 10’s in every category. We have recently relocated to Poultney from suburban Chicago so I feel our standards for a good restaurant are above average. From the time we walked in the door and were greeted by name to walking out the door after enjoying great menu of locally produced and grown items the evening was Great!” – Bob Buciak
